Gwen and John will be married 5 October 2002.

We met each other September 12th, 1998 at Hard Labor Creek State Park, where we had come for a Quaker retreat.  Then there was a lot of stuff in the middle.  Then we got engaged February 15th, 2002.

John asked Gwen to marry him by registering for a counseling session with Gwen under a fake name – “Matthew Trimoni” (get it? “matrimony”?)  She didn’t really get it, but more importantly she did say yes, and we both had lots of laughs in the process.

Gwen is a psychologist with Emory University and she works at the Grady Infectious Disease Center.  She has a BA in Psychology from the New College of Florida, an MEd in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia, and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University.  She grew up mostly in Indianapolis, Indiana with her parents Elaine and Dick, and brother David.  Her two cats are Sabina and Alley.

John is an environmental policy analyst with the Army.  He also makes envelopes and paper products from used architectural blueprints.  He has a BA in Philosophy from Oglethorpe University and an MS in Public Policy from Georgia Tech.  He grew up in Roswell, Georgia with his mom Janet and brother David.  His two cats are (Ballad of a Thin Man) the late Mr. Jones and (Queen Jane Approximately) Jane.

Gwen and John will both keep their own names.  We’ll be known as Mr. John Wuichet and Dr. Gwen Davies.

We will make our home at East Lake Commons in Decatur, Georgia.  If any of you have never seen East Lake Commons, please make sure to pay us a visit soon.
